The First Few Days of Chile

As promised, here's a quick update with some photos from the FIS camp in Chile...

A few shots from SL training on Estadia Piuquenes on Sunday. I can email you some pretty high-res copies of these if you want! The poma makes it feel like home.
Left to right it's Lexi, Jordan, Paige, Dannica, and Josefine on the poma.

Madison: TIME-IN!

Anna and Josefine

Today was Wednesday, and the women's team brought back one of the finest and most dignified BMA traditions: Mustache Wednesday! Yes, that is a Sharpie. Turns out that sunscreen smudges permanent marker, so the ladies were looking pretty haggard by the end of the session. There were some good ones out there today, but the Mustache Of The Day has to go to Tess - and I'll never forgive myself for not getting a timely photo. There's always next week.

The finished product, pre-sunscreen. I promise we'll get the group shot next week.

Did somebody say, "Bromance?" Matt wishes he could shuttle Kai around on this rig, but it only (safely) seats one. Actually, since the front brakes don't work, you could argue that it really safely seats "none," but since Kai can't get it started anymore it's sort of a non-issue. This is Kai's primary mode of transportation around La Parva when he's here during our summer - pretty handy as the village is built into a steep hillside. There are stairs up and down everywhere, but why bother when you can sketch around on this thing? I asked Kai if he wears a helmet and he said, "Well, I wear a hat." Tisk tisk.
Bromance at first sight.

And a final sendoff for now. Hopefully you've seen some pictures of the epic sunsets here. Believe it or not, the background of this shot is actually one of the most incredible sunsets I've ever seen, although you wouldn't know it since the camera in my phone is apparently optimized to take fluorescent pinks and bright blues and wash them out into the silvery-whitish mess you see here. Nonetheless, an instant classic
