Snowy Day in NZ

Unfortunately we lost today due to too much snow. It snowed 45cm, which the girls informed me was 17". There was also an avalanche on the access road so the crews couldn't clear it fast enough to open the mountain and road today. Everyone stayed busy in various ways - many enjoyed the snow and sun as you will see below, but I know many girls also hammered out their homework. The word is that they have a lot!

Snow art by Harry's House on the tufts of grass covered with snow. Looked kinda funny.

 Lake Tekapo

This is Parker checking out the lake and (slippery) rocks... yes, that is her foot in the air.

Snow fort also by Lexi and Bay - I couldn't help but take this odd photo - snow, palm trees, and Lexi in a tank top.

Sight seeing at Lake Pukaki with Mt. Cook in the distance, (the tallest mountain in NZ and Australia)

 Parker and Sophie...

We went to the local King Salmon fishery. Who is that fisherman?!

Throughout this area of NZ are a series of lakes connected by canals, which create a ton of hydropower for all across NZ.
