Les Deux Alpes

Hello everyone,

We had an easy but long day of travel to France, culminating in a spectacular drive up the valley to Les Deux Alpes.  It is my first time in the high French Alps, and they are spectacular.  We arrived to some rain, and our first two days on snow were challenging with fog, rain, and soft snow.  The third day proved to be the charm, however, and today we had sunshine and a firm surface to train on, and we had an excellent first day of gate training.  Here are some pics; one of the view from our hotel window, and others from the glacier.  The glacier is about a 30 minute gondola ride from the village, and is about 5000 vertical feet above the village.

Some of the boys are working on a blog of their own which we will post soon, and we're working on getting pics of the boys as well.

Au revoir!
