U16 Speed Camp at Sugarloaf

Eight Burkies are ripping up the Narrow Gauge at Sugarloaf. The snow and training are awesome. It is a great opportunity to train on a hill that they will inevitably race many times in the future.

It was Olivia's 16th birthday as well today so we made sure to embarrass her a few times and provide her with extra sweets. Tonight we went to Seth Wescott's restaurant - The Rack (he's a two-time Olympic gold medalist snowboarder from Sugarloaf), where ribs and wings were a big hit (see Liam and Gigi's faces below), and we also got third place in a resaturant-wide game of trivia. Not bad for a bunch of young'uns. Shouts out to Lindley's Earth Science students for knowing the name of a glacial deposit of gravel and sand: moraine, and to their history teachers for teaching them what NATO stands for.
