Hello avid Burkie Blog readers!
Sophie Sherman and I (Madison Lord) are going to fill you in on Day 2 of Mt. Hood camp. We started off the day with a great warm up led by Timmy. The skiing is so awesome here! "The skiing is probably the best in the world right now," (quote from Kirk Dwyer).
In the afternoon, we went to do core, but where? We drove 20 minutes to this soccer field were we were going to do core on the nice, soft green grass. What did we find? Dirt and hay! However, being the Burkies we are, we happily monkey-rolled and relayed all over the place. Most of the hay ended up in the vans... Meanwhile, Cole got lost in the woods and there are supposed reports of bear sightings in the same area. (Just kidding!)
Dinner was entertaining because Kirk told his cat joke: "A woman finds her cat in a freezer when she arrives back home from running errands. Apparently, her son put it there and he told her that after looking everywhere for it. The cat is unconscious so she calls the vet. The vet says to rub gasoline on the cat's lips and the cat is up and running in no time. Then he just dropped dead again." We say: "Haha, is that it Kirk? The cat died again?" Kirk: "He ran out of gas!" (He told it in tune, but it still wasn't funny.)
Tomorrow will be another great day in Government Camp. Thank you parents for sending us out here!
