Parent's Weekend/Fall Foliage Festival Good Morning

This view was waiting for me when I showed up to breakfast this morning.  It's going to be a great Parent's Weekend and Fall Foliage Festival.

Tuesday afternoon workouts - the Foliage is here!

The foliage has popped here in the Northeast Kingdom - it's going to be great for Parents' Weekend!
Here are just a couple pictures from the workouts yesterday afternoon. The U16 guys did an outdoor workout while the girls had soccer practice. The FIS guys were in the gym.

Newbie Sugarwood Bushwhack

Darrell led Christin, Brandon and MTB newbs Tatum, Meg, Chris R, Jack Beney, Bri, Ian, Andrew H, Connor, and Maddie M on a ride behind the new sugar house on Pinkham Rd. In this picture, Darrell draws a map in the dirt with a stick to show the group where he THINKS we are in relation to where we SHOULD be. A character and grit building experience for the younger students for sure.

BMA vs. Richford Women's soccer

The Burke women traveled to Richford, VT where they won 4-3!

BMA vs. Cabot Men's Soccer

The Burke men fought hard against Cabot but ultimately fell to them in double OT 3-2.

Darrell led Brandon, Christin, and the newbie guys on a MTB ride that involved just as much hiking and carrying as bike riding. The boys questioned Darrell's leadership and navigational skills many times, but experience prevailed as he found our way out of the dense woods.

BMA Men vs. Stratton

The guys traveled (a long way) down to Stratton Mountain School for a highly anticipated game. Our guys prevailed 3-1 with goals coming from Christian Gallagher '15, Jack Blanchard '16, and Patrick Kenney '15.
