Where did you get that sweat on your shirt?

I sent an email requesting current Burkies to send me a picture of their sweaty BMA shirt taken in the location in which the training took place...

This is what I have so far... so if you have worked out in a BMA shirt and pulled a few beads of sweat, take a picure and send it to me. I'll post it for the all the "BMA" world to see!

Medquest Camp

Rising junior Andrew Hanus just finished a week at Medquest camp. Designed for rising juniors, the camp explores medical careers by following different disciplines throughout the medical field. The students stayed at Johnson State College and camp counselors were UVM medical students.Andrew's highlight was watching a laparoscopic surgery and dissecting a sheep heart. They also spent time in a trauma center, visited a respiratory doc and in general learned about many different career paths. The camp comes highly recommend by his parents as a great introduction to the medical field. It is Federally funded  and offered in every state. 

Alpine Plants

As many of you know, my love of the outdoors brings me to the top of Mount Mansfield for a few days each summer where I am a volunteer caretaker for the Green Mountain Club, supporting their efforts to keep people on the rocks and off the fragile alpine tundra that grows above tree line.

This past weekend Sophie, Sammi, Brianna and Daphnee came up to visit (along with Ashley, Nick, Melanie and Gilbert), and got a short lesson in mountain ecology.
