Sophomore Class Project

The sophomore class had a nice sit-down dinner at Juniper's on Friday night before roughing it out in tents for the evening.  They were celebrating their hard work getting ready for the Bike Swap and the fun and work yet to come on Saturday.

Scenes from Van Run #2

Friday morning the students ran their 2nd van run of the spring. We were out in the Newark area and had great views, but notice how much snow is still on the mountain, and the lack of green grass! Spring is SLOW arriving to the NEK...

Post-run, listening and thinking intently...

Vermont Green Up - Our student-athletes took some time off from workouts and academics to help clean-up the common spaces around the mountain. Great effort all around!

Playing in the Rain

Since returning to school we've been enduring mostly rainy, chilly weather. For dryland we started by doing a bunch of physical testing to get some baseline numbers for the year, and now we are getting into the regular spring workouts consisting of van runs, "Oregon Track Club" intervals, games, strength, and bike rides. In the photo below the guys played a game of speedball in some misty, windy weather, then followed it up with a body weight and partner strength circuit.
