Easy day
Kaitlin (Winter Term Senior '11, PG '12) was coming off a high volume week of training, so we decided to take an easy walk up Mount Washington via Huntington Ravine and Lion's Head.

Burkies Spotted!
Over the past two weeks Burke alums Mike Boardman '12, Sam Coffin '13, and Moriah Wilson '14 worked at the Stowe Dryland Ski Camp. I had the pleasure of working along side them and I couldn't have been more proud. They brought huge energy to the camp and were great leaders. Here are a few photos.
Mike demonstrates a med ball throw
Sam cheers on the campers with huge enthusiasm as they did box jumps.
Moriah demonstrates power.
And finally, Mike couldn't help himself - he got right into the middle of the camper dance party, sporting his sweet tuxedo t-shirt. :)

The new bibs are here!
With BMA scheduled to host NorAm finals again this year (women's GS and SL, March 20-23, please plan to help out!) we decided it was a good time to purchase some new bibs. I was excited to see them when they arrived on Wednesday. Here's a quick peek.

MEN'S FIS CONDITIONING CAMP
An amazing Kingdom day for the Men's Conditioning Camp. Covering about 40 miles for our triathlon style training day. We kayaked around the perimeter of Lake Willoughby, biked around Mt Hoar and Lake Willoughby then hiked up to the top of Mt Pisca. It was epic and super fun!

Happy Birthday America!
This is from the Wheeler Pond trip in May. Some previous guests had not followed "pack it in, pack it out." They left behind some sparklers. I was psyched that the kids were willing to help dispose of them properly. In the photo: Matt, Sven, Anna, Sophie.
Since I neglected to post after the trip, here's a few more very late photos:
Anna standing on Wheeler Mountain and pointing at the summit of East Mountain, where she was before brunch.
Darrell's first attempt at a bike ride to the top of East Mountain was thwarted by deep left-over snow at higher elevations. His second attempt, one week later, was scheduled for the same day as my Wheeler Pond Trip. Anna and myself decided to sign on for both. The morning started out with heavy rain, delaying our start. The extra week had melted half of the snow, but there was still some tough going at the top. There was no view from the top, and we were short of time, but we knew it was going to clear off. After brunch, we left for Wheeler Pond as the day got nicer and nicer. By the time we got to the top of Wheeler Mountain in the late afternoon, it was gorgeous.
Sophie on the summit of Wheeler Mountain pointing at Burke Mountain. Notice the snow still remaining on Dippers.
Matt and Sven enjoying some down-time with the cabin in the background.
