Always a gasp when one emerges from the woods to look upon the view toward the gap.  Hard to see the gap in this picture (toward the left on the horizon) but we could just see it through the clouds and mist.

Mathematical Models

Algebra 2 students are collecting and analyzing data in order to write mathematical models.  They are using GeoGebra, Fathom and graphing calculators to analyze the data and interpret their models.

Hiking the Presidential Range

9 teams of Burkies hiked in the Presidential Range on Saturday, August 27.  I'm sure we could flood this blog with pictures.  These are a few from Brianna MacDonald who had the best turkey sandwich ever (everything tastes better at 5500')!

VARA Merit Awards

BMA would like to congratulate Tommy Kenosh (2018) for winning the Betty Clayton Award given out by VARA is year.  (Click here for more details)

And, it is with both tears of sadness and tears of pride that we congratulate Patrick Kenney (2015) as the first recipient of VARA's new Ronnie Berlack Award. (Click here for more details.) Patrick truly exemplifies all of the characteristics that made Ronnie the great person that he was.  As Steve said, "My family got smaller, but I've still got a very big family."  We're psyched to have Patrick continue to find the fall line and to show the world his passion for skiing, while being an incredibly polite and appreciative young man.

Another Great Day at BMA!

Wednesday evening many women from the BMA community joined the Wednesday night women's ride hosted by Village Sports on Kingdom Trails. Riders were able to trade stories afterwards. Also present (but too fast!) were Jodi and Karen.  What a wonderful bookend to the day!

First Morning Ride!!!!
