Chemistry Copper Lab
Back at School
As I write, snow is coming down, the mountain is making snow, and it is cold! Things are looking up.
We are making the most of this week with classes and dryland. Here the alpine girls are doing agilities on the soccer field. The guys were in the gym, and we'll swap this afternoon.

We are racing!
A big thanks to Stratton Mtn and the SMS coaches for pulling off men's and women's FIS races today. It was pretty impressive given the tough conditions.
Heading up to the race hill....
The girls talking with Bart during inspection - is that a shrub in the course?!
Showers + sun = Rainbow!

Chicago!
Yes, you read that right, Chicago - the FIS girls got delayed for hours in Midway on Saturday so we took a short trip into the city for some deep dish pizza and sight-seeing! (Boots and all!)
Train into the city - it's super easy! If you're there in the future with time on your hands we highly recommend it!
Deep dish pizza at Exchequer Pub - famed for its history, Al Capone, and pizza! Their eyes ended up being bigger than their stomachs, but it was worth it!

Sunday Funday
This past Sunday there was a lot going on in Colorado. A group of FIS guys and girls raced at Copper, and another group attended the Birds of Prey World Cup GS at Beaver Creek.
Early morning at Copper - before sunrise - getting festive

Views behind Copper
Looking down "Lights Out" at Copper - you can see why this section is called as such. By mid-afternoon it's quite dark. The hill was in awesome condition, and it is so wide that they had separate men's and women's GS courses down each side.
Ollie claims 3rd U19
Alum Harry Laidlaw '14 was 3rd overall. The next day alum Henry Tomlinson '14 was 4th and scored a personal best. It was fun to see a bunch of alums - also Andrzej D., Sam Matel, Jonny Hutchison, Ryan Donohue, Griffin Brown, Cam Smith

Pat Kenney Birds Of Prey DH
Normally, at lunch, we discourage screen-time and encourage face-to-face time. But, with World Cup happening, kids were tuning in.
I was psyched that Pat Kenney (2015) got to be the GoPro Course Preview forerunner. Check out his run.

BMA Elves
Saturday Night December 5, 2015
The BMA elves got to work making ornaments from trash for our tree in East Burke Village: punched tin lids and K-cup snowmen. The elves also continued to fill packages for the Angel Tree project. Two elves still had the energy to bake and decorate cookies! Give them a raise, Santa.
