Twin Day

Check out the Birthday Problem, which states that a group of 25 people stands a 50% chance of having two people with the same birthday.  So, it's not all that surprising that a school of 72 students would have twenty or so sets of twins.  With a billion universes, each with a billion galaxies, each with a billion stars, each with a billion students, BMA just happens to be the one.

Algebra 2 Math Workouts

I tried to make these guys throw up with some of the most grueling math workouts I could come up with.  But as you can see here, this is one strong and confident team.  I'll keep trying.

Orienteering

The U16 Mountain Strong group and the Nordics did an 8.5 miles orienteering course this Saturday morning.  (I'm blogging while they're still out there.)

Back from Holland and Back in the Saddle

Alli, McKenna and Anna were psyched to be back in the NEK for ripping good riding in a mesmerizing setting.  The beauty is ubiquitous.  Special guest appearance by chef Amy Mansmann.

Burkies got a shoutout on the Circumburke blog this week after their hard work building and maintaining some of the Victory trail sections of the Circumburke course.

Ride Around the Mountain - Warmup for Circumburke

At 8 Saturday morning after a pretty full week of workouts and classes, almost the entire BMA student population and a few staff headed out for a Circumburke preview.
Does everyone have gloves?

Tess and Ella tearing it up on the CCC road.

Hamming it up...Ian, Tatum, Jack L, Connor and Jennette (complete with her musical fanny pack).

Almost the entire crew re-united as a result of a detour by the "faster" riders.  This is the entrance to the infamous "nineteen bridges" trail.

Holland Indoors

Some of the FIS Women are training at the SnowWorld indoor facility in Holland. Here's a photo that Parker sent. She reports that the snow is good and it's colder than you may think inside.

Saas Fee Take 2

Some of our FIS men are in Saas Fee training right now.  TK writes "We have had two days of GS training with Ok conditions to start the camp.  Now we are looking forward to getting some more GS days with harder snow. We are staying at the Hotel Alpina right by the liftstation and they have a great setup for volleyball and soccer just outside the hotel."

Brianna, Julia, and all able-bodied athletes hiked the mountain this morning - straight up training hill. It was a beautiful morning to be out!
