Z Girls: Encouraging Team, Confidence, Communication and Stress Management
Libby Ludlow, founder and leader of Z Girls, spent four days working with the BMA girls. Hopefully the girls came away with some tools to help build confidence, communication, and stress management. The photos below were from the first session: Team Building. It seemed like they were having fun! Thanks Libby for coming to BMA!
How to undo the human knot?
Libby (in pink hat) helps the girls understand that every person on a team plays a part and has influence on the atmosphere of that team. Here a web displays that idea.

U16 Guys - "World's Best Breakfast"
The U16 guys raced in the first of two State Championships this past weekend at Killington and Okemo. Besides some great results across the board, arguably the highlight of the trip was staying at the famed Swiss Farm Inn, home of the "World's Best Breakfast." Although we probably can't claim it as the "world's best," due to lack of world travel, the guys did say it was the best pre-race breakfast they've had. See photos below!

Nutritionist Dr. Mike Roussell visited BMA yesterday and spoke at length with our student/athletes about healthy eating for optimal performance. He kept it simple and straightforward and answered many questions. Thank you Dr. Mike!

Are You Living An Authentic Life?
Since BMA is a place designed to give students opportunities to forge their characters, this month the 10th grade English class is exploring the question of whether people live authentic lives or choose from purchasable options set before us by the media. We all answered Kate Taylor's ten questions. Check it out our answers to the first two!

Burke Hosts NVC U16 GS Race
Despite the snowy conditions, we had a great race today - - MANY thanks to so many parents, staff, Jr Program parents and coaches, and BMA students. Races are such a team effort and they wouldn't happen without the help of each and every person out there. Thank you!
Most of the Burke girls at the start (L to R): Isabel, Parker, Bri, Tatum, Avery, Lizzy, and Megan - front: Annie and McKenna
Bart, Corey, and Megan - with GMVS coach Steve Utter photo bombing in the back.
Coach Corey and the U14s who slipped and slipped and slipped today and kept it a smooth and fair track throughout the day! Thank you all!
