More Basic Training

Below are more scenes from this week's outdoor strength training, with the military "Basic Training" theme. As Darrell said, "It won't be hard, but you will learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable." In the end, I think they had a pretty fun time.

All in a Friday

First GMR prep van run of the Spring! Darling Ridge Run - one of the best!

Did we finally tire out the students? I envy Jack's ability to sleep anytime, anywhere, apparently. He slept through much commotion in Frazier Living Room this afternoon.
Tara organized for El Fadel Arbab to tell his story to the BMA community about the genocide and refugee situation in Darfur, Sudan. El Fadel came from Portland, Maine where he now lives. Props to Tara for organizing the event and for the amazing activist work she does for their community. El Fadel's story was eye opening and inspiring - you should ask your child to hear more about it!

Basic Training Starts Tomorrow

We'll be having theme workouts this spring, and the first week's theme will be Basic Training, In the Army Now. So obviously we went shopping at the local Army Surplus store...and found the following gems.
